Canalised emissions (factory chimney, exhaust gas stream)

In order to calculate VOC emissions (in solvent weight equivalent) emitted to the atmosphere through canalised outputs, it is necessary to convert and extrapolate measurements (concentration measured in other units).

Following picture illustrates canalised outputs measurement equipments on an industrial site.

Envmodels propose two conversion tools to be used for industrial canalised outputs measurements:

  • Conversion tool to convert carbon equivalent concentration measured by FID (Flame Ionisation Detector) to real VOC equivalent concentration,
  • Emissions calculation tool to determine real VOC weight on canalised outputs from FID measurements (in carbon equivalent) and throughput and duration.
